Treatment of psoriasis in patients with underlying comorbidities

Although psoriasis has no cure, there are treatments available to help manage symptoms and reduce the risk of developing psoriasis-related comorbidities. In cases of severe psoriasis, immunomodulatory drugs may be necessary, which can cause complications for those with immunodeficiencies. Treating psoriasis with comorbidities can be complex and time-consuming, and fast, efficient, and efficacious therapeutic options are needed to ensure the best health outcomes for the patient. This Thematic Series covers original research and reviews that focus on topics surrounding the treatment of psoriasis and comorbidities.
