Next-Generation Vaccines and Innovative Drug Delivery Systems: From Development to Public Health Impact
Vaccines are widely recognized as a pillar of public health, saving millions of lives annually by preventing infectious diseases and contributing to herd immunity. Recently, vaccines have experienced significant growth with the advancements in nanotechnology and vaccine technologies, including mRNA vaccines, viral vector platforms, and recombinant protein vaccines. Especially with the approval of mRNA LNP vaccine for COVID 19, research in vaccines has shifted to the development of mRNA-based vaccines with the aid of lipid nanoparticle delivery systems. This Article Collection provides a multidisciplinary platform for research spanning vaccine development, delivery technologies, and their broader public health implications.
