At the authors request, the Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy wish to retract the published article. The authors requested a retraction due to the lack of reproducibility of the results described in Figure 7. However, the authors were unable to provide any original data for their study and could not explain the alleged duplication of western blot images in Figures 5 and 7. Specifically,
- Western blot bands for Figure 5B, FOXA1 and GAPDH, appear to have been duplicated with western blot bands for Figure 7D, YAP and GAPDH.
The Editor agreed with the decision to retract the paper.
Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.
The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
