Dr. Natasha Hodgkinson received her MSc and DR in Biomedical Technology from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Her postgraduate research involved using photodynamic therapy in the treatment of cervical cancer, using nanoparticles and laser therapy n colon cancer, as well as stem cell differentiation, and is focused on differentiation into neural cells utilizing low level laser therapy. Her PhD research focused on water and health, as well as sanitation and hygiene, in collaboration with the Water Research Commission of South Africa, and her thesis focused on evaluating the efficacy of home water treatment device use in South Africa where there is a lack of government testing standards for such devices.
