Pablo Trigo has been around horses since birth. He developed interest in veterinary medicine when he was a kid working for his family's Stud Farm in the Argentine pampas. Pablo graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, National University of La Plata in 2000, and began his scientific career at Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (Argentina). In 2002 he continued his training in Europe, obtaining a MSc and PhD at Universidad de Córdoba (Spain) and working at Centro de Medicina Deportiva Equina - Universidad de Córdoba (Spain).
In 2010 he returned to South America for a Postdoc at Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and from 2012 to now he has a research position at Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (Arg), and is in charge of Laboratorio de Medicina Deportiva Equina, Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP Arg).
He has experience in Physiology with emphasis on Exercise physiology, where he published several scientific articles on elite international journals, book chapters and a book. He also participated in the professional support of various equine athletes in obtaining medals at the Olympics, European and world Championships.
