Zhou L, Cha G, Chen L, Yang C, Xu D, Ge M. Onco Targets Ther. 2019;12:6461–6470.

The Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy wish to retract the published article. Concerns were raised following the authors request to replace immunohistochemistry images in Figure 5C. It was found that images for Figure 5C, Control and shHIF1α were duplicated.

The authors did not respond to our follow up queries regarding the duplicated images nor were they able to provide original data that could adequately verify the findings. The Editor requested to retract the article and the authors were notified of this.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
