The authors have advised that the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) scripts linked to this paper have been updated accordingly and are available for R, SAS, and STATA (https://github.com/bjoroeKI/Charlson-comorbidity-index-revisited).

Mild liver disease (international classification of disease, ICD) code version 10: in Table 1 on page 30, K70.3 is listed twice. In the revised script, one of these have been replaced by K70.9 (hence both K70.3 and K70.9 are now listed in the CCI scripts).

Cancer, ICD-9: the code 173 in Table 1 on page 33 is not relevant and has been deleted from the CCI scripts.

AIDS, ICD-10: the code Z11.4 represents health check-up for HIV but the diagnosis may not have been confirmed. Z11.4 in Table 1 on page 37 has hence been deleted from the CCI scripts.

Also, the code Z71.1 (“no diagnosis”) in Table 1 on page 37 has been replaced by Z71.7 (counselling for HIV).
