Noteworthy Comment: This paper is noteworthy in its novel conceptualization of the relationship between traumatization and chronic pain. Practically, it should help clinicians better understand the imperative of treating the psychological sequelae of traumatically-induced chronic pain if physical, as well as emotional gains are to be maximized.
