The editor and publisher of Psychology Research and Behavior Management have retracted the published article.

Following publication, the publisher was contacted by a third party who said that many references in the article contained incorrect information or could not be found. The publisher subsequently requested further information and clarification regarding the accuracy of the references. Although the author responded, the concerns could not be adequately resolved.

The validity of the references is integral to the scientific integrity of an article. As the editor and publisher have been unable to determine the validity of the references, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors disagree with the retraction.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE principles.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
