All Professor Jordan’s projects, including clinical trials, qualitative evaluations, and analyses of large, linked databases demonstrate the importance of balancing the benefits and harms of medicines and ensuring that monitoring is in place to ensure patient safety. Previous findings influenced recommendations for lower doses of medicines in labour, which was followed by improvement in UK breastfeeding rates.
Professor Jordan serves as an associate editor for the International Breastfeeding Journal. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers in academic and professional journals on the links between theory and practice in medicines management, adverse drug reactions, adverse events and nurse education.
