Prof. Dr. Anderson Oliveira Lobo

Full Professor, Centre of Technology, Federal University of Piauí, Teresina, Brazil

Professor Lobo is an affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and Core Academy Fellow. He graduated in Biomedical Engineering, with a PhD in Sciences from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics. His Postdoctoral degree in Bioengineering at Harvard Medical School (and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology). He has teaching-scientific experience in the area of Bioengineering, Bioprinting and Materials Science. He works directly in the development of membranes for applications in biomimetic and bioinspired biomaterials applied to tissue engineering and nanomedicine. Professor Lobo has graduated/supervised over 120 post-doctoral students, thesis completing B.S., M.S., and undergrads students.

Professor Lobo has over 170 published papers, 4 provisional patents on the applications of nanomaterials for tissue engineering, and over 400 papers presented in conferences. He serves as Adhoc advisor of several international journals and Brazilian and international grant agencies.
