Dr. Bik-Wai Bilvick Tai is currently Assistant Professor at the School of Health Sciences at Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Hong Kong. Before his current appointment, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship training in health outcomes research with a teaching certificate program at Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy in the US.

Dr. Tai is devoted to the advancement of the clinical pharmacy profession. He is a registered pharmacist, Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP), and Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) in the US. Dr. Tai teaches extensively in the pharmacology and therapeutics course series, and delivers drug therapeutics trainings to Hospital Authority pharmacy dispensers in Hong Kong. He has also served on the Membership committee of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) at national level.

Dr. Tai has published in various journals including Value in Health, Journal of American Pharmacists Association, and Journal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice. He is serving as peer-reviewer for more than 15 PubMed-indexed journals, and research and workshop abstracts reviewer for international pharmacy and health outcomes meetings. Dr. Tai’s research interests include the clinical and economic impacts of pharmacy professionals, health-related quality of life survey validation, health-related psychological framework validation, and pedagogical strategies for health sciences students.
