Professor Clark T. Hung holds a B.S. from Brown University (Bioengineering) and an M.S.E. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (Bioengineering). He is currently a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Cellular Engineering Laboratory in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University. He has published widely on physical effects and regulation in orthopaedic cells/tissues and is actively engaged in research on cartilage mechanotransduction and functional tissue engineering. Dr. Hung has received grant funding from sources including The Whitaker Foundation, National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and The Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation.  He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Biomechanical Engineering and is a Deputy Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Research.
