Konstantinos Tziomalos is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the First Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine of the Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in AHEPA Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. He completed his residency at the Second Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine of the Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Hippokration Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. He then served as a clinical research fellow at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry (Vascular Prevention Clinic), Royal Free Campus, University College London Medical School, University College London, UK and as a post-doctorate research fellow at the Stem Cell Institute and Cardiovascular Research Laboratory, Division of Cardiology, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, USA.

His research interests include dyslipidemia, stroke and cardiovascular disease prevention. He has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles, which have received more than 6000 citations.
