Dr Shari M. Youngblood, DCN, CNS, LDN, CCMS, is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at Saybrook University and oncology clinical research professional whose work centers on supportive care, survivorship, and translational science in hematology and oncology. Appointed to the rank of Associate Professor effective August 2026, her research interests include time-restricted eating, circadian-informed nutrition strategies, and evidence-based supportive care interventions in oncology.
Dr Youngblood has contributed to multi-site NIH-funded oncology clinical trials at the University of Maryland Baltimore, with experience spanning protocol implementation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical research nutrition. She has authored peer-reviewed publications in journals including Nutrition and Cancer, Supportive Care in Cancer, European Journal of Cancer Care, and JMIR Protocols, and serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief and Guest Advisor for Cancer Management and Research.
In addition to her research activities, she teaches graduate-level coursework and mentors doctoral and master’s students in clinical research, evidence appraisal, and oncology-focused nutrition practice. Her work emphasizes the translation of emerging evidence into clinically grounded, patient-centered oncology care.
