Dr Kris Bennett

Dr. Kris Bennett is a Hepatology Research Fellow at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UK). He completed his medical degree at the University of Nottingham in 2011 and undertook academic clinical training in gastroenterology, hepatology and general medicine in the South-West Peninsula (UK).

His research interests include big observational health data analysis, machine learning/artificial intelligence and risk prediction, particularly in the field of liver disease. He completed a Masters in Health Data Science at the University Exeter and is a doctoral student at the University of Plymouth, studying the prediction of cirrhosis from electronic health record data using artificial intelligence.

His work has been published and presented in international liver journals and conferences, and he has twice been awarded Young Investigator Awards by the European Study for the Association of the Liver (EASL).
