Dr. Hussain holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Lahore, an MPhil in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan, and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where his research focuses on targeted protein degradation in drug discovery. Prior to this role, he was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Chemical Biology and Drug Development at the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
His research interests encompass structure-based drug design, modeling and analysis of ligand-protein interactions, target identification and deconvolution, phenotypic and virtual drug screening, and drug mechanism and signaling pathway studies. His work is dedicated to understanding the molecular intricacies of protein-ligand interactions and biological signaling pathways to drive innovation in drug discovery and development.
