Dr Rodrigo Díez-Tafur is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, holding the European Board Certification in PRM, with subspecialty training in Pain Medicine. Dr Díez-Tafur completed his residency at Hospital Universitario Severo Ochoa (Madrid, Spain), followed by fellowship training at the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit, McGill University (Montreal General Hospital). He also holds a Master’s degree in Pain Study and Treatment from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, is certified by the World Institute of Pain (FIPP, CIPS), holds an Expert Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and has completed advanced training in spine endoscopy.

Dr Díez-Tafur has taught internationally, contributing to the advancement of interventional pain education and training standards. He currently serves as Vice President of the Latin American Pain Society and Secretary of the Latin American Chapter of the World Institute of Pain. Dr Díez-Tafur is Medical Director at Centro MDRS: Sports, Spine & Pain Centers, and founder of the Pain Management and Functional Rehabilitation Unit at Clínica Angloamericana in Lima, Peru. He also serves as Medical Director of Lima Pain Institute and Research Director of the Peruvian Anatomical Research Center.
