Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics & Inflammation and Immune Mediated Diseases Laboratory of Anhui Province, Anhui Medical University, Hefei, Anhui, PR China
Dr Peng Wang is an Associate Professor and Tutor for Master’s students at Anhui Medical University (AHMU), PR China. He received his M.D. in Preventive Medicine and M.S. in Epidemiology from AHMU, followed by a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Soochow University. His primary research focuses on the genetic epidemiology and molecular mechanisms of autoimmune diseases, with particular emphasis on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Dr Wang’s current projects investigate how protein post-translational modifications (PTMs) regulate CD4+ T-cell biology and contribute to the onset and progression of SLE. By integrating genetic, molecular, and epidemiological perspectives, his work aims to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets that can improve disease prediction, early diagnosis, and personalized treatment strategies for autoimmune diseases.
Dr Wang is also actively engaged in academic teaching and international collaboration. He serves as a Guest Lecturer and Co-Supervisor at Udon Thani Rajabhat University in Thailand, where he contributes to graduate training and research mentoring. In addition, he serves on several editorial boards and acts as a peer reviewer for international journals.
