Professor Jie Huang is a Professor of Biomaterials at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College London, UK. She completed her PhD in Biomaterials at the IRC in Biomedical Materials, Queen Mary University of London. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM).

Professor Huang's research interests include nanomaterials and bioactive materials for tissue engineering, implant coatings, 3D printing, drug delivery and cancer therapies. She has authored over 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, has been invited to contribute chapters for seven books on Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering and Medical Devices.
