Dr. Natalie Strand completed medical school at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in 2005. She then completed her transitional internship at Mayo Clinic, her anesthesiology residency at University of California Los Angeles, and her fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is an associate professor in anesthesiology and pain medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where she serves as the director for pain research and the director of neuromodulation.

Dr. Strand focuses clinically on the treatment of chronic pain from musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. In addition, her research interests include diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of pain medicine; peripheral nerve stimulation; dorsal column stimulation; and graduate medical education.
