Dr Mithi Ahmed-Richards

Mithi has an MBChB in Medicine and Surgery from The University of Aberdeen. Due to a diagnosis of diffuse Scleroderma in 2009, Mithi decided to not pursue a career in clinical medicine and instead became a production editor for Future Science Group in 2016. In 2017, she joined Taylor & Francis as a commissioning editor and became the Executive Editor of Current Medical Research & Opinion in 2021. Being a patient of scleroderma, Mithi developed a passion for empowering the patient voice across publications and the industry and became a patient advocate for Scleroderma and Raynaud's UK. Outside of her role at Taylor & Francis, she works with patient communities and the industry to amplify the voices of those living with scleroderma and her goal is to be part of the future where there is a cure for the disease.
