Davin Leif received his MSc. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. For his MSc thesis, Davin investigated the role of ethylene in apples, in particular, why genetically modified red-fleshed apples suffer from accelerated ripening. He has a continued interest in the New Zealand fruit industry and had a hand in helping to annotate the kiwifruit genome.
