We, the Publisher and Editor of Drug Design, Development and Therapy, are issuing an Expression of Concern for the published article.
Following publication, concerns were raised by a third party about the integrity of images in Figure 3 of the article. As part of the investigation, the authors were asked for any information that would help to confirm the validity of the images.
The authors have responded to the queries raised, but due to the time that has elapsed since the experiments were conducted, the raw data for this figure is unavailable.
Therefore, we are unable to address the concerns regarding Figure 3; however, the Editor confirms that the concerns raised do not affect the overall validity or integrity of the reported findings. We advise readers to interpret the information presented in Figure 3 with due caution.
The authors have been notified about this Expression of Concern. Should further information come to light, the journal will reassess any concern raised.
