Noteworthy comment: The authors provide an excellent review about endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for colorectal lesions with advantages, risks and benefits. They outline the importance of pre-procedure lesion assessment and in-vivo diagnosis, and define a pragmatic and rational approach for selection of appropriate lesions as well as patients.
