Noteworthy comment: The review article by Moshifar et al highlights the ocular symptoms of Ebola virus. This dreadful virus is currently spreading through parts of Africa in an unprecedented manner. The review gives insight into the possibility of using the ocular signs as an early warning of the disease. Early diagnosis is vital in treating and preventing the disease and any help that can be given to healthcare workers has the potential for great value.
