Aims and Scope

The Journal of Asthma and Allergy is an international, peer-reviewed journal encompassing all clinical aspects of asthma and allergic diseases, including diagnosis, epidemiology, prevention, management, and treatment.

Specific topics covered by the journal include:

  • Allergy
  • Asthma 
  • Pulmonary Physiology 
  • Primary immune defects 
  • Respiratory infections, including transplant related infections 
  • Environmental science and asthma/allergy 
  • Counselling and patient education in asthma/allergy 

Cell line and animal only studies will not be considered, studies must include clinical data. Authors are required to provide imaging and diagnostic studies regarding the clinical findings. The Journal of Asthma and Allergy accepts original research, reports, editorials, commentaries, and case series. Case reports and study protocols are considered if they make a valuable and original contribution to the literature.  

When considering submission of a paper utilizing publicly available data authors should ensure that such studies add significantly to the body of knowledge and that they are validated using the authors’ own data through replication in an original sample.
