Dr Weirui Guo

Dr. Guo received his B.S. in pharmaceutical engineering from Southwest University in Chongqing, China. In 2010, he completed his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from National Laboratory of Biomacromolecules, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Beijing, China, where he studied the roles of RNA-Binding Proteins in neural development and neurodegeneration. Currently, Dr. Guo is a postdoctoral researcher in UT southwestern medical center at Dallas, U.S., where he works with Dr. Kimberly Huber and studies the molecular mechanisms of mGluR5 dysfunction in a mouse model of Fragile X Syndrome.
