Dr. Rasika Samarasinghe is a senior postdoctoral research fellow at Deakin University, School of Medicine, Australia. Dr. Samarasinghe earned her PhD from Deakin University, where she focused on the development of nanotherapeutics for targeted drug delivery for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancer.
Dr. Samarasinghe presently works with the Epigenetic Translational Cancer Research Group of Deakin University and Barwon Health, Melbourne, Australia. Her research work involves studying epigenetic regulations in paediatric cancers and its effect on RNA and metabolic mechanisms. She also works with pre-clinical drugs and determines the regulatory mechanisms on breast cancer. Dr. Samarasinghe has also given numerous invited lectures in Nanomedicine, neuropharmacology and pharmacogenetics to undergraduate and higher degree postgraduate students. She has published several research and review papers in peer-reviewed journals, written and edited book chapters and presented in various international and national scientific conferences.
Dr. Samarasinghe is also an active member of the Australian Epigenetic Alliance, American Inflammation Research Association, etc. She serves as a reviewer in multiple scientific journals.
