Dr. Ru Chen received her Master in Neuron-Immunology from Seton Hall University and PhD in Biomedical Sciences from New Jersey Medical School at 2011. She identified several therapeutic targets in BCR sequence for chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoid leukemia during her PhD study. At 2011, Dr. Chen joined Ethicon Inc. as post-doctoral scientist to conduct preclinical research, focusing on development of immunotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma. She started working at Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics as Research Scientist from 2014. Her current projects mainly focus on developing the application of cold plasmas in medicine, including sterilization and blood cancer therapy.
As a translational researcher, Dr. Chen has been active member of American Society of Hematology (ASH) and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) since 2010.
