Dr. Madka is a Scientist at the Center for Cancer Prevention and Drug Development, Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dept of Medicine, University of Oklahoma HSC, he worked on development of chemopreventive agents for Gastrointestinal and Urinary Tract cancers using carcinogen induced and transgenic rodent models. Dr. Madka’s research is focused on preventing the incidence and progression of the muscle invasive TCC using compounds specifically targeted towards key pathways dysregulated in the urothelial cancer. His current research is focused on tumor initiating cells to understand the processes of carcinogenesis and to preventive develop agents by targeting these cells. His other research interests include inflammation, bioactive compounds and early detection biomarkers.
