Tahseen Nasti received his Doctoral training in Graduate Biomedical Sciences (Immunology) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Masters in Biotechnology from the Aligarh Muslim University, India. His Ph.D. dissertation involved the design of immuno-preventive strategies against polyaromatic hydrocarbon (7,12-Dimethylbenz(a)anthracene)-induced squamous cell carcinomas and role of Langerhans cells, IL-12 and IL-23 in skin cancer, particularly melanomas. Currently, he is working in Emory University in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology and is studying the effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer and viral diseases.
