The Editor and Publisher of International Journal of Nanomedicine wish to retract the published article. Concerns were raised regarding the alleged duplication of images in Figure 6. Specifically,

  • Figure 6A, Non-targeted group, appears to have been duplicated with Figure 6A, Antagonized group.

The authors responded to our queries and provided some of the original data relating to Figure 6. However, the Editor determined that current and previous concerns relating to this article have raised doubts about the validity of the findings and requested for the article to be retracted. The authors have been informed of this decision.

Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
