This paper has been retracted.

Peng J, Wang S, Fan W, et al. Onco Targets Ther. 2018;11:6887‒6900.

At the authors request, the Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy wish to retract the published article. The authors requested to replace western blot images in Figure 4, where images for Figure 4, THP-1, CyclinD1 and THP-1, CDK2 appeared to have been duplicated. Further analysis found evidence for the manipulation of western blot images in Figure 3. Specifically,

  • Images for Figure 3B, panels KG-1; HL-60; K562, p53/p100 all appear to have been duplicated and enhanced to give the appearance of being distinct western blot bands.

The authors provided some original western blot data, but it was not satisfactory and was unable to adequately verify the reported findings. The authors requested to retract the article and the Editor agreed with this.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
