The Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy wish to retract the published article. It came to our attention that images in Figure 4E had allegedly been duplicated, specifically:

● Figure 4E panel Scramble 0h appears to be duplicated with Figure 4E panels CTBP1-RNAi and JAK1-RNAi 0h, with all images showing evidence of frame shifting.
● Figure 4E panel CTBP1-RNAi 12h appears to be duplicated with Figure 4E JAK1-RNAi 24h.

The authors were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the alleged duplication nor were they able to provide the raw data for their study. The Editor determined the findings of the study are no longer valid and requested for the paper to be retracted.

Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
