Dr. Venkatesh Kota has a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad India. During his Ph.D., he worked under the guidance of Dr. S. Shivaji, who is a famous scientist in the field of Reproductive Biology and Microbial diversity. Currently, Dr. Kota is working as a senior postdoctoral scholar in the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, USA. Dr. Kota has identified numerous proteins in cancer cells and male and female reproductive systems. He was first to establish tyrosine phosphoproteome in hamster spermatozoa. In postdoc, Dr. Kota is working on alpha-hydroxyceramide associated signaling proteins in glioblastoma cells. He has extensive experience in reviewing manuscripts for cell biology and proteomics journals.
