Dr. Qian Ding is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy, in Big Rapids, Michigan, USA. Dr. Ding received her Bachelor’s degree of Pharmacy in China and her PhD degree in Social and Administrative Pharmacy from Auburn University under the direction of Dr. Kenneth N. Barker in 2012. Her research interests include medication use systems and patient safety. From 2012 to 2014, she has completed her postdoctoral training with Dr. Albert Wertheimer at Temple University and served as a research consultant for Merck & Co., Inc. in Health Economics & Outcomes research, focusing on healthcare resources utilization, treatment patterns, patient satisfaction, and quality of life in Immunology including gastroenterology, dermatology and rheumatoid diseases.

She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, presenting her research work at professional meetings both in Europe and the US. She has also served on editorial board and invited reviewers in several professional journals. She is a member of many professional societies including International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), etc.
