I am a principal researcher at the South Korea Orthopedics & Rehabilitation Engineering Center (Incheon, South Korea). In 2011, I earned my Ph.D in biomedical engineering from the Yonsei University (South Korea), followed by research training in Fraunhofer Institute of Non-Destructive Testing Dresden (Germany), which has been changed to Fraunhofer Institue for Ceramic Technologies and Systems – Institute Part in Material Diagnosis.
My research interests are in the bone and muscle adaption to biophysical stimuli, musculoskeletal biomechanics of amputation, spinal cord injury, osteoporosis and arthritis, and rehabilitation engineering. Additionally I`m interested in the development of prosthesis and orthosis for the disabled and elderly. I have authored over 60 peer reviewed papers including international and domestic journals and numerous conference presentations.
