Dr. Jia Li received her Ph.D. degree from Purdue University’s Psychological Sciences Department in 2009. She accomplished her doctoral thesis for characterizing the temporal alterations of visual perception under efferent neuromodulation. Since then, she started her journey at Neurology Department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School as a postdoctoral research fellow. Her current research interests are the development of biomarkers for muscular diseases which include neurodegenerative diseases (ALS - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, SMA - spinal muscular atrophy), muscular dystrophy (MDx), myotonic dystrophy (DM1) and sarcopenia. She is co-author of 27 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her hobbies are kickboxing and traveling.
