I am an early career health systems researcher specialising in health economics, implementation science, medication utilisation and health system equity. My research program focuses on the translation, availability and judicious, equitable use of high-value, affordable healthcare interventions, particularly pharmaceuticals, for chronic non-communicable diseases. I received a University Medal for my Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Sydney in 2004 and have worked as a clinical pharmacist in the hospital and community pharmacy settings as well as in pharmaceutical industry. I was awarded NHMRC and Vice Chancellors Scholarships to complete my doctoral training at the University of Sydney. My PhD was awarded in March 2014. I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health, funded through the NHMRC Health Economics capacity building program (HERMES). I am the first academic in Australia invited to be a member on both the drug utilisation and the economics sub-committees to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, Australia.
