Dr Di Lang
Consulting Editor: Di Lang (PhD)
Postdoctoral scholar, Department of Pharmacology, University of California, Davis, CA, USA
Dr. Lang received his Ph.D. degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, Department of Biomedical Engineering, where he was trained to conduct research investigation in the field of cardiac bioelectricity for the advancement of our understanding of heart disease and the development of better lifesaving therapies. He is now working in University of California Davis with the same interests of research, specifically on the innovative method of using multiple imaging techniques to detect arrhythmias and physical foci on the heart. His research focuses on exploring the mechanisms of arrhythmias generation and maintenance in both cellular and organ level, which will benefit the treatment and prevention of this fatal disease. He believes an important criteria of being a biomedical engineer/scientist is to effectively translate the biomedical research into clinical and/or general applications and eventually help people.
Dr. Lang regularly peer-reviews for numerous scientific journals and also serves as a lead guest editor. He is member of several scientific societies and has given presentations in the scientific conferences such as AHA and HRS.
