Ashraf Alqaqa, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Jordan, then he relocated to USA to start his residency training. He completed training in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University, NJ and continued his fellowship in cardiovascular disease and Interventional cardiology at the same place. He is ABIM Diplomate of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He is also Diplomate of American society of Nuclear Cardiology, and adult echocardiography.
During the course of his academic career, Dr. Alqaqa has received several scholarships, and awards. His scholar activity includes publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, authorship of book chapter and Internal medicine online study system, presentations, and lectures at local and national conferences. Moreover, he is a member of Editorial Board and reviewer for a variety of medical journals. Dr Alqaqa's interest include ischemic heart disease, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, peripheral arterial disease, cardiovascular manifestations of HIV infection, cardiovascular disease in women, and long QTc syndrome
