Dr. Mohamed Emara, graduated (M.B B.Ch) from the Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt. He achieved his master (M.Sc.) degree in Tropical Medicine with thesis title "Value of Probiotics in the control of Hepatic Encephalopathy" in 2006, and his medical docotorate (MD) in Tropical Medicine with thesis title "The Role of Occult Hepatitis B Virus in Non-Responder Chronic Hepatitis C" in 2011. He occupies the position of Lecturer in the Department of Tropical Medicine (Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Infectious Diseases), Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt. His teaching activities involves both under and postgraduate medical students at his home institution. His medical practice involves inpatients, outpatients and performing many procedures in the field of gastroenterology, he is consultant of Hepatology and Gastroenterology, Endoscopist and ERCP Consultant at Zagazig University Hospitals and in private and charity sectors. His clinical research work is directed to many aspects in the field especially the area of occult hepatitis B, HCV, H pylori and endoscopy.
