Dr. Wei received a Ph.D. from Michigan State University with a research focus on ankle ligamentous injuries. He has since completed postdoctoral training at the Kessler Foundation Research Center (West Orange, NJ) with a research concentration on weight-bearing MRI of the osteoarthritic knee, and at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Chicago, IL) with a research concentration on the study of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders associated with abnormal control of posture and movement. Dr. Wei’s current research interests focus on human musculoskeletal system modeling, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, pattern classification and recognition, pediatric trauma, imaging, lower extremity electromyography (EMG) in pathological gait, mechanotransduction in articular cartilage, and locomotor adaptation.
