Santiago Romero received his MSc in Neurosciences from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. For his BSc and MSc theses, Santiago’s research focused on neuronal signalling and control of behaviour in the model organism C. elegans, elucidating a role for glutamatergic and dopaminergic receptors in modulating their context dependant feeding behaviours. During his academic years, Santiago continually participated in outreach opportunities, presenting and promoting the neuroscience research of the University’s Centre for Biological Sciences. Santiago currently maintains an avid interest in research surrounding the pathological, biochemical and cellular features of neurodegenerative disorders.
