Dove Medical Press announces Dr Xing-Cong Li as the Editor-in-Chief of Research and Reports in Medicinal Chemistry

Dove Medical Press has announced the appointment of Dr Xing-Cong Li as the Editor-in-Chief of the new journal Research and Reports in Medicinal Chemistry.

This international, peer-reviewed open access journal will publish original research, reports, reviews and commentaries on all areas of medicinal chemistry.

Dr Li is a Senior Scientist in the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR) and a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy at the University of Mississippi, USA. His research interests include isolation, structure elucidation, and synthesis of bioactive natural products, medicinal plant research, and natural products based drug design. In particular, his current research focuses on the discovery of antifungal natural products that can be used as molecular probes to uncover novel drug targets or lead to the development of new antifungal drugs for the treatment of life-threatening opportunistic fungal infections. Dr Li has also published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles/book chapters in the field of natural product and medicinal chemistry.
