Following publication of the article, concerns were raised about the duplication of images from Figures 2, 3 and 5 with images from other unrelated articles. Specifically,

  • Images for Figure 2B, SKOV3, have been duplicated with images for Figure 2E from Wang F, Yang Q.   • Images for Figure 3B, A2780 and SKOV3, have been duplicated with images for Figure 2C, H1299 and H460 cell lines, from Gu R, Shao K, Xu Q, Zhao X, Qiu H, Hu H.   • The image for Figure 3D, sh-NC and sh-LINC00963, has been duplicated with the image for Figure 8A, sh-NC and sh-LINC01705 from Du C, et al, 2020.
  • Images for Figure 5D, SKOV3, have been duplicated with images for 2C, HeLa cell line, from Chen W, Xiong L, Yang L, et al. Long Non-Coding RNA LINC01783 Promotes the Progression of Cervical Cancer by Sponging miR-199b-5p to Mediate GBP1 Expression. Cancer Manag Res. 2020;12:363-37. (RETRACTED).

The authors responded to our queries but were unable to provide an explanation for the duplicated images or provide data for the study. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article and the authors agree with this decision.
