Dr. Mehta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. Dr. Mehta received Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration (2010) and PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy (2014) from the University of Houston. He is clinically trained in Pharmacy from the North Maharashtra University (2006) in India. Dr. Mehta started his academic career at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2014 after completing his PhD.

Dr. Mehta's research interest includes pharmacoepidemiology, methodological research and surgical outcomes research. He has expertise in evaluating health, economic and patient reported outcome using large administrative claims, electronic medical records and survey data. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented over 60 research abstracts at national and international conferences.

Dr. Mehta is a peer reviewer for several pharmacy and surgery journals. He has been recognized for his exceptionally fine quality of reviews by the Value in Health and the Annals of Internal Medicine.
