Dr. Liana Bruce is a collaborator at the Campbell University Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. Dr. Bruce graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006, completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research in 2008, and founded a longitudinal cohort study of arthralgia in breast cancer patients taking aromatase inhibitors while at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Bruce's research interests include longitudinal psychological and clinical health outcomes, veterans’ and military health, scale development in pain and social functioning, biostatistics, morbidity and mortality, health economics, patient safety, and decision making. Dr. Bruce received a Special Commendation Award from the United States Government Accountability Office, and certification from the United States Department of Defense in French, having studied at the Universite Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne, and the Universite Jean Moulin Lyon III. She has specialized in longitudinal multivariable modeling, confounding and interaction, logistic regression, meta-analysis, risk-adjustment, large administrative/claims data, time-to-event modeling, Poisson regression, and psychometric scale validation techniques.

Dr. Robert H. Howland is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an Attending Psychiatrist in the Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Program at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also is Medical Director at the SPHS Behavioral Health Program in Monessen, Pennsylvania. Dr. Howland graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in 1986, completed his residency training and a clinical research fellowship in psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh in 1991, and has received board certification in general adult psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.
Dr. Howland is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. His clinical and research interests have included the use of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, neurostimulation therapies, and other novel therapies in the treatment of mood disorders, with a particular emphasis on chronic and treatment resistant forms of depression. Dr. Howland is Psychopharmacology Section Editor for the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services. He has authored or coauthored more than 175 articles, book chapters, and other publications, and is currently an investigator in a number of funded clinical research studies.

Dr. Lynne Nemeth is a Professor in the College of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has extensive clinical, educational, administrative and research experience. Her current and recent research is focused on translation of research into practice. Over the past decade, Dr. Nemeth has been a principal investigator and co-investigator on a series of studies within PPRNet focusing on the use of health information technology in primary care practices to improve quality and patient safety. She has led the development of conceptual frameworks underlying the PPRNet-TRIP improvement model, derived through synthesis of previous PPRNet studies, providing the basis for measurement of practice transformation. She is an expert qualitative researcher with an emphasis on process evaluation and implementation research. She is principal investigator on a National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism study to promote alcohol screening, brief intervention and pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Nemeth is currently collaborating on research related to patient lifestyle and obesity, reducing overuse of services in primary care, decreasing patient adverse events related to high risk medications, promoting lactation support to infants discharged from NNICU in primary care, implementing mobile health applications in chronic care populations, and community engaged research. She teaches Advanced Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research to PhD students and mentors numerous PhD dissertations.
