During these difficult days and unprecedented times, good news can appear to be hard to find. Nonetheless, the Editor-in-Chief of our International Journal of Nanomedicine, Tom Webster, got in touch recently to share some.

Last year, Dr Webster used his honorarium as an IJN Editor in order to provide support to the 2020 Express Conference on the Physics of Materials and its application in Energy and Environment. (ePCM2020 - https://sites.google.com/view/e-cpm2020/)

One of the organisers of this conference, Jorge Roberto Oliva, along with co-chair Professor Arturo Martinez Enriquez used these funds in order to help people living within Mexico impacted by several hurricanes which hit the country last year.

This money was used to provide food, essential supplies and medicine for over 85 affected families living across Mexico, including Yucatan and Guerrero.

Our thanks go out to all involved in this project, and we hope that we might all reflect on this generosity of spirit and try and carry it forward into our own lives.
